DONATIONS
Drop your aid at relief centres

The Pakistan Embassy yesterday advised UAE residents to drop their donated relief goods at Relief Centres set up by the embassy in Abu Dhabi and the consulate in Dubai.

In Abu Dhabi, the centres are located at the Pakistan Embassy [Tel: 02-4447800], Pakistani School and Pakistani Community School in Mussafah. In Al Ain, relief goods can be dropped at the Pakistan school.

In Dubai the centres are at the consulate premises [Tel: 04-3973600] and Pakistani Association, while in Sharjah, the Pakistani Community Welfare Association is responsible for collecting the goods.

Other organisations, such as Pakistani Business Group, are also collecting relief goods. All the goods collected by these organisations and groups should be delivered at either of the two diplomatic missions for airlifting.

Akhtar Ali Sulairi, Deputy Head of the Mission and Minister at the Embassy, advised these organisations and groups to inform the embassy or the consulate when collecting relief goods. "All the goods collected should be airlifted through the two diplomatic missions," he said.

The embassy said emphasis should mainly be given on tents, blankets, plastic sheets, mattresses, valid pre-cooked tinned food, milk powder, and high-energy biscuits. In medicines, he added, antibiotics, typhoid medications, fracture and First Aid related kits, surgical instruments and water purification tablets are the most needed live saving goods now needed.

The embassy further advised all the cash donations should be directed to President's Relief Fund Account with UBL [0103726-5]. Donors can deposit their cash donations at any branch of the bank in the country.
